This charger looks and works great. Unfortunately, there's a new addition to the USB standard which requires dumb chargers (i.e. devices/chargers that do not use the data lines) to short both data lines of the USB cable. This device and many others do not comply. Therefore, my Nokia N900 simply ignores the charger and refuses to charge. A work around is to solder the center pins (D+ and D-) of the usb connector.

This charger worked great for a little under two weeks, then stopped working with the distinct smell of burning plastic. It supposedly has an electronic "SmartFuse" that resets itself when it is disconnected from the power supply and never needs to be changed. Unfortunately, when it fails you can't change it and the product become useless. Given the number of favorable reviews for this charger, my particular unit was probably defective. Ultimately the charger will probably be fine for most people, but beware of poor quality control. I bought this charger from "space2shop" and reported my issue, but they did not reply to me.

On my Droid Incredible, this will charge the battery. However, if i run GPS + Navigation + 3G + Music at the same time, it does not provide enough power to charge the phone and the battery drains. Then it causes the LED to flash and it will not charge again until you restart the phone. I bought the verizon compatible car charger and that one seems to work fine.
